I'm going to be changing my current TT in the next few months & I've had a drive in a Mk3 TT. It was the TFSI quattro (s-tronic as standard) with quite a few extras. The car felt much lighter than my TT in every respect, the car was lighter on it's feet & even the doors had less mass it seemed. Admittedly mine is the diesel so a bit of a tank but not that bad a steer...
Questions are, if anyone is running a new TT, specifically a quattro, what is your take on it. Has it met, exceeded or fell below your expectations & how does it feel compared to the MK2?
I've tried a M135i & a Golf R too, the BMW was a rocketship but I commute over the Pennines a few times a week & would feel safer with the AWD safety net. The R was very impressive & ticked a lot of boxes but the interior didn't do it for me, if I travelled at warp speed everywhere this would be my choice.
Thanks
Andy.

I have one for a few days while my S3 is being repaired, exact spec as you describe but with LED lights and tech pack.
I've mainly driven hatchbacks and a couple of coupes.
In short, the advantages:
- Very sporty feel
- Handles much much better than the Mk2
- Comfortable seats
- Well planted and a pleasure to look at inside and out
The bad:
- 19s are rough
- Expensive! Not sure how well residual values will hold up
- Power lacks imo but it is plenty fast still
If you get one make sure you get an armrest!
I have to admit I feel very happy when I get in it, but still miss my S3...
