this looks like an interesing idea
the cheetah looks great, and this may be an easier way to build one than full on replica

Used to race a cox cheetah - as a 1/32 slot car..... As I recall it looked quite chunky & well proportioned if a touch short, more so than the pics anyway. For what its worth....

Me too. And the Chimaera isn't so rare - "fill your boots" IMO.

yeh its quite unusual but the ultimate front engined cobra killer

originlly designed so that they could set the engine as far back as poss, there is no need for a Prop shaft!

rear weight distrib is 52-60%


ofcourse on a chim chassis that wont be the case

Think that was the plan, a lot of "unofficial" backing from Chevrolet (this was the era of Ford v Chevrolet battles in every sphere of American motorsport), but handling wasn't up to much and they never really bothered the Cobra's as I recall?

sagaris wheelbase is 93 inch though

Been removed by mods but the race sagaris body of which we spoke is 92" wheelbase.
Originally designed for a 92" racing chassis.
