Bircher muesli recipe anyone?
Discussion
I make something similar, Chilled Swiss Oatmeal.
I tried in a Corner Bakery in Chicago so looked the recipe up online.
I use a half cup measure to get the quantities correct.
Use half a cup of oats, the same of milk and the same of full fat yoghurt.
Simply mix and put in the fridge overnight.
Next morning I dice a pear and add a handful of raisins.
You can add anything but I've found mixing crunchy and chewy textures best, bananas aren't great.
I experimented using low fat yoghurt but u need the fat content to make it work, plus u lose the added sugar content of the low fat yoghurt.

Here's my recipe that's a usual breakfast:
Mix all the following in a bowl:
80g of oats
100g of apple juice (not the stuff from cartons from concentrate. Cloudy, unsweetened)
60g of milk
Leave overnight. Following morning add:
a pinch of cinnamon (less is definitely more!)
About a tea spoon of soft, brown sugar
A whole grated apple. I like Jazz apples, but pick what you prefer between sweet and sharp
If it's too sticky, add a bit of milk.
I also put a few frozen berries on the top too for a bit of tang. Stick 'em on at home, and they'll be soft by the time you're sat at your desk!
