Looking at a N55 135i this weekend

Not sure re practicality. Also how much haggling room

http://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/1-Series/3.0-135i-M-Spor...

It's got a service pack till June 16 but I only do 200-400 per month

Did you not like the touring someone recommended on E90 Post? more practical, better looking and better colour

That 335i seems expensive. It is nearly 4 years old.

You can be in a new 340i with all the right options for £34k, if you re financing I bet that comes in no more than that 4 year old 335i.

Expensive for a poverty spec touring TBH.

Are you buying cash or using PCP?

Massive discounts on a new 340i, much lower apr rates on new cars, much better residuals on a new car. So a new 340i worked out cheaper than a 4 year old 3 or 5 series touring. Not by much, but obviously all the benefits of having a new car.

I specced mine with pro media, extended heated opal white individual leather, adaptive led headlights and Harman sound and a few other bits and it was £34k.
With £3k down it came in at £353 a month over 48 months with £19k GFV.

That looks a good deal. How many miles p.a is that and is that direct with BMW?

Thanks.

No, that was using coast2coastcars to source the car and then Lombard to fund, at 4.9% apr.

Didn't ask BMW for a quote, but can't imagine it would be far out, Lombard get their residuals from BMW anyway I would suspect.

I think I said I was doing 10k miles per annum, would do 15k easily, but I wouldn't be worried about a 4 year old 340i M-Sport Touring with 60k miles getting £19k.

Is it deemed poverty spec, because it doesn't have Navigation? Seems, otherwise, pretty similar in spec. e.g. heated seats, electric mirrors and quite a few features more commonly seen on 3 series coupes/

It is poverty spec because it has xenons as the only option.

No dab, no bluetooth phone, no bluetooth audio, no media interface to plug your ipod into, no upgraded stereo, no lumbar support.

It is poverty spec.

Gosh, I must drive in poverty then. I'd better vote for Jeremy Combine Harvester at the next election wink

Not sure about the poverty spec comment, leather heated seats come with lumbar support (they do in my 06 e91)? Also there's a USB & aux port in the arm rest?

Sure someone out there would love it, I know I probably would.

I noticed when buying mine that what would be considered a good spec on a four cylinder car is definitely considered poverty spec on a six.

Mine has USB, electric heated memory seats, Xenons, Cruise etc, but no nav or leather and it was a hell of a lot cheaper because of it.

Can be time factored as well, not just mileage, so you might get another free service out of it before the pack ends. Probably came down the production line a few weeks after mine did smile Done a lot less miles than mine though for the same age.

I have DCT, drive it always in manual mode. Much better than normal auto, and for a DD advantages over 6MT in bad traffic.

That's what I'm mulling

Like the white colour though

Perfect colour would be space grey

Yeah saw that one and looks very nice, can't remember all the differences on the plus edition.

R32 will be going up for sale any day and then see what happens.

The big difference was the BMWP 313 alloys as standard and the blue piping on the seats, that was about it.
