Gents,

I have a 2008 Rolex Submariner date which I'm thinking of selling.

The watch is a 2008 model with box and papers. Its never been serviced.

Any idea of the value?

Thank you.

Simple,
Check completed listings on eBay, or look at chrono24, that'll give you a good idea of price

But that approach wouldn't garner offers from people on here would it? confused

I'm based in Dubai.

A watch dealer here has offered me GBP 3,200 for the watch.

I will do some further research but thought I would ask on here as well.

Thanks

If it is the pre-ceramic one with the serial number and 'rolexrolexrolex' around the bezel (I think that was around 2008) then you should be looking at a figure more like £4K assuming in decent condition and not desperate for a full service.

That's pretty good tbh.

I was 'only' offered £3000 on my last of the line, 2010 random serial 16610 Sub date last month here in UK by a dealer.

That's nearer to what you'd pay, than be offered. If you want to offload to a dealer for convenience £3,200 is not bad.

Sorry - just to add to my valuation of £4K - that is what I would expect for private sale. I guess the dealers look for £800-1000 margin going by those trade bids.

Yeah, would echo the above. £4k would be a good private sale price. £2900-£3200 trade.
