Congrats - it sounds like a stunner. The wait is frustrating. Best to occupy your time with something like sex or a holiday. wink

Unfortunately (or probably fortunately), business is extremely busy, so no chance of such things as holidays at the moment.

Congrats Mark. Got any pics? OPC sourced?

A lot of the motoring press reckon the GTS is an absolute peach to drive.

No pics yet (or decent ones).

Didn't really want one until January but just saw it out of he blue and seemed exactly the spec I was after so arranged a viewing and agreed the purchase.

May decide to pick it up a week earlier as it was me that said the 28th, it's actually ready anytime from early next week.

Picked it up Friday, but in all honesty have had very little time in it.

The drive home from collection was mainly stuck in traffic jams, and in the dark. Had to be home for 6 as the wife was out that evening otherwise would have taken it for a bit more of a drive. Saturday I was out with the kids in the Audi, so it was not touched. Managed to get out in it for a couple of hours Sunday (after the wife had been out in it for a couple of hours first !!!).

First impressions are however excellent. Its been a while since I had a 'sports' car, as the Allroad is a big old beast (albeit excellent). Its amazingly comfy (sports seats), in normal mode is as tame as most cars I've driven (albeit can be quickly summoned to be a bit more lively), and with the sports exhaust off isn't really loud at all. Perfect for the 'every day' car role its intended for. In black, with black wheels & black interior (the alcantara is georgeous) is also quite inconspicuous. Again, a positive, for my requirements (Its a fickle industry I work in).

The sports exhaust, when activated, add a nice grumble to car, whilst the 'sports' mode makes the car a little more lively, keeping the revs up. 'Sports Plus' mode taking it to the next level again, seemingly keeping revs about 4k (or so it seems in the short period I've driven it in this mode). Good for when your in the mood.

Traction seems brilliant (although its 4WD, I believe 95% of the power is to the rear as the norm), and I live in quite a leafy place & the weather has been terrible of recent, but yet without issue. Its certainly goes a bit when asked. Haven't tried the 'launch' mode out, but no slouch in in any mode (suspect no car is that can do 0-60 in less than 4 seconds).

Inside, everything is where you expect it to be (switches, etc). The BOSE stereo is excellent, and despite what people say on here, I'm glad I went PDK.

Downsides. Well only one to date, that being the lights aren't automatic. Its 61 plate and was common technology then, so would have expected a 100k car to have them. Having not had cars without them for years, it just weird getting back into the routine of switching them on/off when its dark.

Looking forward to get some more time in it.

Oh. And the kids love it which is a bonus. The wife also likes it, which is a bonus as its her main car for the next couple of months.

Will get a few pics soon, but its dark when I go to work, and when I get back, and generally just foggy all the time to be honest at the moment.

Very nice you must be delighted and trust your wife if she is driving it for three months.
