Hi All
I have a late mk1 well sorted Tuscan has done 6000 miles since powers rebuild but I am really tempted to go for the Ls3 conversion.
Any guidance from you out there would be very helpful regarding Running costs, future value etc.

Speak to Warren at Topcats, don't drive a converted car unless you have the means to upgrade as nothing else after compares.

Hi Colin

I have a 2000 Tuscan with a LS 3 and a T 56 magnum box. It's a totally different car than with the speed 6. I find it a much more versatile car now and can either drive it like a loony or in sixth crushing on the motorway. I'm in Watford so if you want a look / drive pm me. If you do it I can highly recommend Warren and topcats

Low rumbly V8, potter about town at will, perfect manners.
But there's loads of torque, no need to rev the nuts off it to make very brisk progress.
Pull out of corners in any gear. Good fuel economy.
What's not to like?

Had the Vulcan LS3 for two years now would not swap for SP6,
not knocking the SP6 if fact really like it,
But you fire up the LS their are no surprising rattles or shakes just really smooth until you give it the beans

Thanks Guys

Really looking forward to the whole process, will post pics as soon work starts, hope to pop down to Topcats at least once a week. Never heard a bad word about the Ls3 in a TVR always thought it is a great mod.

How long does it take for the whole conversion? I imagine they're pretty slick at it now. Like everyone else (most of whom are too polite to ask) it would be good to know how much it costs. Topcats website has a link to an article which gives a price that Topcats says to ignore which isn't very helpful.

I suppose it's too late to look at the
4.7 speed six options that are going to be served up by Powers and Str8six?...

Looks like it...

Pity...

Fully respect the speed six options, but think this is a no brainer when it comes to a modified engine option.
