If you go to page 7 of the forum you'll find a discussion of 981gts insurance which may be helpful. There are so many variables driver to driver that I think you need to use the price comparison sites to get a real idea. I find Money Supermarket very good. If you intend to track the car some specialist insurers may be a good route.

Age/Area depending, of course - but I found the usual comparison sites to offer up a number of good deals.
With a 981 Boxster S coming in at the same price as my 520d! Not sure of their stance on track day coverage as mentioned above though

Having already booked the complimentary 7 day Porsche insurance cover, I today received my follow up formal quotation for the year.

I was pleasantly surprised to be quoted £420 fully comp, protected no claims. My pre-delivery comparison site explorations had yielded a best figure of £560. Sharing this news with my better half she asked if I'd included her as a named driver... "Err, no. I wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable with it on the road...".

So, I did the right thing and phoned Porsche Insurance and requested a second quote. 5 minutes later I was looking at a revised figure of £350 - good girl! smile

Similar experience for me, Porsche insurance was only just over £100 more than the cheapest quote on Confused and included 2 days track cover and the guarantee of repair at an OPC so seemed like it was worth it. Limited dealings with Marsh on the phone gives a better impression than mainstream providers too.

The trouble with Porsche insurance is they categorically will not insure a new Porsche a penny over £75000 without tracker fitted.Last week when i picked up my GT4 they point blank refused to cover it even for seven days,i had to go with Admiral multi-car,much less hassle.

I checked all the TIPEC Club recommended Insurers for my new Cayman S ........... all of these advertised in the Club Magazines .

Classicline .... £ 9,000
Adrian Flux .... £ 2,000
Heritage ....... £ 2,074
AXA ............ £ 1,168 ( Tracker Required )
Asset Trust .... £ 789

Guess which one I went for !

I did not ask Porsche for an official quote but from what the Salesman ( or should that be Salesperson ) indicated it would have been over £ 1K .
These are London Rates .

I've found Pace Ward to be very competitive. Been on their Familiy Fleet policy now for a few years.
