Porous wheels.
That or corrosion preventing the tyre from seating properly.

May also be worth checking the valve, bought a car the other day that was intermittently loosing air (on steel wheels) as the valve had unscrewed slightly. Could hear it leaking when you moved it, by twisting it clockwise it tightened up and has not lost any since.

I had a similar issue on my 66 Corvette, slow puncture that actually turned out to be a sticker on the inside of the rim where the tyre sat and was enough to all of a sudden start loosing air.

Usually corrosion on the lip which allows air to escape. Make sure any tyre fitters prep the rim. My Fiesta ST suffered this and ended up destroying a tyre when I inadvertently ran it almost flat.
