I have decided to move my Cayman Design Edition 1 on to pastures new. It came with a chronograph watch, pen, pen knife etc etc, all in a Porsche small suitcase (to fit the car). Now, the watch has never been worn and I am never likely to wear it. It just isn't the sort of watch I like. What to the PH watchists think I should do; sell it on separately (assumed worth around £1500 - £2000) or have it as part of the sale of the car? I asked this question when I bought the car two years ago and received many and varied replies but if the watch is worth selling then perhaps I should do that as there is little chance of the car value being enhanced that much.

Am I on the right track? Perhaps a call to Dom Hackett? Your views would be appreciated. Cheers

JM

Sell them separately. You'll make more. They add little value to the car. MHO.

Thanks, Johniem but sorry, completely the wrong era, for the PD I am looking for. It's the 90s IWC version I am interested in.

Coincidentally I've been looking at these this week. Porsche military.

I'd keep them together. Some time in the future they'll be very few of the 777 with the full set (especially if there's matching numbers on the watch and car?) - had a quick look and, of the two DE1s I found online, not one mentions the accessories. This is either because they are worthless or they are missing and the seller does not want to highlight their omission.

ETA: make that 3 - and one includes pics of all the paperwork.

They are really cool, a bit different to the usual IWCs. They seem to be quite hard to come by, the one I want never comes up for sale lol, been sort of looking on and off for an age!

I agree, bit different for an IWC. I'll keep pondering and see where I finish up. I really like them tho'.
