Just watching this video and whilst we can all cheer on a fast GTR I can't help but think someone driving a 600hp GTR so recklessly is a danger to other people?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWmOi5-0KQ4

Broken the law twice in the first 5 seconds for fks sake!? (greater than 60 speed, crossing double white lines).

What is the general consensus for this kind of behaviour? Is it ok if you have a fast car or what?

Not really sure I saw anything particularly dangerous in this sequence but people who go public on youtube with these sorts of video are just asking for trouble IMHO. Nice car perhaps, nice noise maybe but overall not that interesting. Just Clarkson "wanabe's" if that is any aspiration and not doing a particularly good job of it either.

If you watch the video from 4:15 you see that clip in the first 5 seconds in full
He's actually pulling out of a layby to turn right, which is why he is the wrong side of the double white lines, which is perfectly legal, and very unlikely he hit anywhere near 60 in the 4 seconds or so of acceleration before the brakes come on, it was hardly a full on drag racing launch. It was a blast of throttle, while still turning on a cold wet road
And in the rest of the video i see nothing particularly reckless at all, just maybe a few blasts of acceleration in tunnels, I'll probable do worse than is show in that video on an average sunday drive.

This thread just proves how eager people are to vilify other people for thier driving.

I haven't watched this particular video (frankly I can't be arsed) so I'm not making this comment in response to this single clip. However, I have noticed a bit of a proliferation of nobheads in old quick cars which are now affordable doing stupid stuff on public roads and getting admiration from fellow mouth breathers over the internet. One clip of a nobhead driving his Evo from Penrith to Hartside springs to mind.

He should be arrested for putting that wrap on the car. It's way worse than the driving.

Nothing particularly offensive in that video as far as driving is concerned, though I certainly couldn't sit through much more than 30 seconds of it.

The real crime is how tedious the video is.

Whoever wrapped it should be shot.
The OP should also be ever-so-slightly tortured for posting it, at least as far as we got.

The most dangerous thing in this video was the bloke with the bad haircut climbing into the read seat and sitting there with no seatbelt on. Yes, the video was st alright.

Are you blind? He goes straight over the double white line on the corner. After he had turned onto the road. Whilst accelerating at full throttle in a 30mph zone.

A 600hp+ GTR hits 60 in how many seconds?

If I had posted the same thread about a 1 litre saxo doing this I wonder if reaction would differ.

I rather enjoy watching videos like this (the parts where cars are featured and there's no more tedious talking over by the video-maker). I'm sure if they're doing anything wrong/illegal, there'll be some hermits that'll report it and they'll get appropriately dealt with.
Won't be me though. I'm quite interested in boosted GTR's pinging it around! (Despicable wrap however, like all wraps)
