Really why is it so bloody intermittent then
If it's like ours, then the "play" button is also the childproof button. So press it too long and it goes into that mode. The Bosch website is pretty good for being able to download manuals.
Having recently re-equipped the kitchen and utility with only Bosch kit, everything fking beeps!

As an owner of several Siemens (sister) appliances I can confirm that everything fking beeps! I think the company has a Head of Beeps whose job it is to install as many beeps into everything as possible. Most annoying of all is the microwave, which if you switch off the mains then restore it, beeps incessantly until you go to the manual and find out what unguessable combination of buttons is required to set it to only three beeps. The beep gene seems to be spreading; a neighbour has a John Lewis washer-dryer that beeps when finished - but only to tell you that the door is locked so don't go there until it's stopped beeping Simpo Two said:

After many years I tend to zone out when it starts (it goes on intermittently forever) but it has been known to drive guests mad.

Maybe switch it off at the wall? Or there may be an option to set it to only 100 beeps instead of 1,000... Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
