Recently have been really struggling to find out about event and car shows around Essex/London area until after the show has occured.

Does anybody have any good places or way to keep up to date with shows/events

This site has some of the events, though it's by no means exhaustive http://www.classicshowsuk.co.uk/

I am aware of the main car events but I keep finding out about events I would like to have attended after they have happened. Judging my the comments on here, I am not the only one. Can't pistonheads create a single calendar for all the car events?

The only way to get a complete view of shows is to crowd source it. PH staff can't be expected to know all of them,

Have you tried getting something put in the PH calendar? I tried with the Bournemouth Wheels festival this year but it never appeared. Whatever, it's an opportunity for someone with the drive to make it happen.

You could try car clubs of whatever you own e g in my case BMW and often there are events on their own forums.

Where is the PH calendar & how do I access it?

Thinking of starting a thread about shows & listing them/as many as possible as a reference for people unless the PH calendar already does it

Have you tried www.motoringevents.net?
They seem to have a lot of events (meets, shows, exhibitions) but not sure if they are what you're after
Cheers

I don't understand how you're supposed to find out about them either, I have an event next year in aid of the NSPCC, posted it on here under the events section where you would expect to find an event posted, and it got taken down saying it was an advert!

I can only assume that the same thing is happening to anyone posting an event in here hence why you can't find them, don't really understand the point of having an events section that you can't post an event in!?!!?
