Jump starting lawnmower

Does anyone know if it is possible / advisable to jump start a lawnmower from a car battery? It's a ride on Briggs and Stratton if that makes any difference.

As long as it's 12volts I don't see why not, I have jump started a motorbike from a car a few times in the past

Should be fine I would've thought, jumped many mowers before in the same way

Fine - I start mine off a boost pack.

Yep, no problem at all. As long as it's 12v. The extra boost from a bigger battery always helps.
