Not ideal if you have a dog though.

Love the little spiral at the end. Very 'fine dining' biggrin

We have one (an 880). He's called Dave.

Does a reasonable job keeping the cat hair at bay, but is prone to being a bit stupid and getting stuck under stuff sometimes!

I recently bought one off a friend. Works fine for us as we have wooden floors through out, no carpet.

The friend who sold had a mix of hard floors and carpet. They don't seem to work that well on carpet.

They are a glorified dust pan and brush with little suction. Carpets rely on a bit more suction for cleaning, but as said, great for hard floors.

I have used a Roomba pet series for several years and find it great. Our house is fully tiled with no carpets at all so it is perfect. Only occasional issue was not caused by pet hair but the long strands of hair from my then wife and 2 daughters. When they were moulting, large amounts of it got wrapped round the steering wheel at the front and caused it a directional problems!

Have even put him to use in the garage on occasions.

Sorry for my ignorance. So the dog took a crap on the carpet and then proceeded to wipe it's bum on the carpet? Unbelievable.

Dog did his bit, which crapping on the carpet is one issue. But then the roomer came along merrily cleaning away and smeared.

I think it's more likely that the dog took the aforementioned crap, then the Roomba spread it. It would explain why the picture is in this thread rather than in one discussing why cats are so much better than dogs (which they are).

Roomba not as good as you think, these are so much better just not as pretty.

A friend has one and its called Bob, does a very good job cleaning, but what is awesome is he's put googly eyes on it, so always raises a chuckle when it comes in the room.

I planned to buy a Neato, but was given a Roomba, so didn't complain.

The Roombas navigation method is irritating to watch. The Neato is more methodical and I believe can cover a larger space on the same battery due to this.

Any reason you would go for the other one?

Went with the D85 from Neato in the end. Did quite a bit of research and the reviews seemed pretty good so thanks for the tip on that. The new model "connected" looked better spec wise but was not far off twice the price in the end so went with the D85. Will update when its here and been on a few times.
