I have a month or so in the US next year mid June to mid July and wondered whether there was some NASCAR or similar in the area.

I'm going to be starting from Seattle and doing a loop down to Vegas and back up again.

Any suggestions?

IndyCar is the best racing in the world that no one is watching right now; if you have some flexibility and really want to see good racing it might be a better bet. Tickets are peanuts (usually ~$100 which includes paddock or garage access) but unfortunately in June and July they're in the midwest: http://www.indycar.com/News/2015/10/10-27-INDYCAR-...

Same goes for the domestic endurance racing series: http://www.imsa.com/articles/imsa-weathertech-spor...

Unfortunately we don't have that much flexability but thank you for the recommendation.

I think the best bet is going to be the NASCAR st Sonoma Raceway in San Francisco.

NHRA goes to Sonoma at the end of June also - cool if you've never had your insides rearranged by the power of noise.
There will be loads of dirt/short track racing all summer long too.

Sorry, you are right July, not June. Shame, as it's quite the mind altering experience.

NASCAR booked.

Start/Finish line seats, in the 'shade'. Pit Passes also purchased.

Can not wait biggrin
