As above, really? I've just ordered one as they look like a nice time piece to wear daily, just wondering if anyone else had experience with them.

I currently wear a beautiful Omega De Ville Hour Vision which I love dearly, however it's a pretty expensive watch to wear everyday, a fact forced home the other week when it fell straight onto the kitchen floor, cracking the sapphire crystal glass in the process. Got a quote this weekend to repair it: £2,000. Bugger. Also, I am concerned about the leather strap wearing prematurely, so wanted something with a steel bracelet to wear daily.

I was looking at another Omega, a Seamaster most likely, but came across Christopher Ward and thought I would give them a try. I have ordered a C60 Trident Pro 600, a watch very similar to a Seamaster in appearance, designed in Henley-on-Thames and made in Switzerland with a quality movement - should be with me by the end of the week.

Anyone else have one and want to share their experience/pictures? smile

Thought they were based in Maidenhead? I know that isn't as exclusive as Henley-on-Thames so perhaps that's why they call it Maidenhead (London) wink

There's hundreds of posts on here about ChrWard watches several fans and some say they're overpriced. Do a search.

I like some of the designs but they're all too big for me. I would not wear a watch over 40mm and 38/39 is my ideal. I emailed Christopher because his quartz watches are that size but he stated that all his mechanical watches will always be bigger.

OP, I have a C60 (previous model) and a Makaira.

Both were bought in their, frequent, sales and were good value for the quality of the watch.

The designs are often criticised for being homages/copies/derivative, but if you like them, then who cares...

QA can be a bit hit and miss, but their customer service is exemplary (My C60 was ordered on an orange strap which fell off five minutes after I unpacked it, but I returned it and, at my request, they replaced the orange strap with a black one promptly - Sadly, even when spending thousands you don't always get the kind of service you should...)

Really? Wow, that is expensive. I do like Christopher Ward watches, my boss has one and it's very well made. I prefer the one's that aren't complete replicas/homages though. Depending on budget you could always think about a cheaper Omega...

My Dad has had an automatic one for a few years. Lovely looking watch. Never missed a beat and reasonably priced.

Yep... also I just noticed he now does a 38mm aviation watch too! Just goes to show you can't believe everything you see and read, especially when it comes from the owner of the business laugh

Shame I stopped flying last year else I'd have had an excuse frown

Yep! CW showroom is in Maidenhead. I think the OP is getting confused with Bremont, who are based in Henley-on-Thames ... tongue out
