Looks like some brutal weather! Must've been pretty strong to snap the mooring lines.

I am not a connoisseur on car ferries but it looked familiar and turns out I had been on that particular ferry back in the mid 90s when it was called the Spirit of Tasmania. Good to see it still around. I actually enjoyed going on it. Four times in 6 months. Standing on the back watching Port Phillip bay on a summers morning. Conversely the first trip getting out into Bass Strait was a bit scary in mid winter, went up on deck to see the rather large waves.

Haha, 10 years ago I was crossing the Cook Strait in NZ - and underneath the PC Maori name it said 'Pride of Cherbourg!

They should just have swapped over...!

I shouldn't laugh but the carnage in the pictures on the gallery link showing the Team Valley market I thought was pretty funny. Who in their right mind would set up flimsy stalls like that in those kind of winds? It was only ever going to end one way hehe.
