I heard that this was not true. There was a big discussion on this about 1 month ago on the VWDRC group.

A sad sign of the times where all the aholes in the world do their best to prevent people enjoying themselves in their cars.

A small few can cause so much misery and grief for others, and no doubt over the years cost track owners a fortune with their whinging.

If it's true, local councils and people who have forced the closure need to be really ashamed of themselves.

They've been trying to buy the land off the guy for years and years to develop houses.

Shakey doesn't make any money, I can only assume he's finally given in and sold it to them with all the stress the locals cause

If it does close, there should be a way to cause stress to the selfish whinging dirtbags who caused the closure

The vendetta people have against those who simply want to enjoy themselves at tracks that have been around for decades is disgusting.

Spitfire Raceway Cornwall

If you owned Shakey & was offered millions it would be retarded to turn down a once in a life time offer not to sell

It will be a shame if it does close but if I owned it I would be saying " sign where "

Sites like that should be protected against development

It's all good and well going to other airfield sites, but certainly no 2wd car will ever set startling times at them compared to a proper strip.

Trevor and Straightliners are running at Spitfire next weekend though
