When the Panamera came out, a lot of folk said how ugly it was, no doubt egged on by messr Clarkson, May and Hammond

A silver one was following me into town today, and I have to say, it doesn't look nearly as bad as when it was launched

Has there been a significant facelift, or have the looks just grown on me?

Nope, still ugly (subjective of course.)

My SIL had one but had to get rid of it as it was so wide she couldn't park the thing. she now has the much prettier and much smaller... Range Rover Sport biggrin

depends a lot on the spec, small wheels and high suspension on a basic spec v6

larger wheels and drop on the GTS version

Still not a looker but better.

It's the sheer bulk that puts me off more than the appearance. It's no looker but I could live with it so long as I didn't have to worry about parking it or driving down country lanes.

Still ugly as sin.

And before the apologists for bad car designs arrive: Chris Bangles' designs look as bad now as they did when they were first forced on the world.

I simply don't understand the appeal - but so long as the buyers are helping subsidise Porsche's sportscars that's fine by me! driving

Current Panamera price range? £64k to £131k. Roll up, roll up, step right this way.

I've always kind of liked them. The rear is ungainly in profile, but the performance, handling, and cabin are pretty epic. With the right paint and the right angle, it can look quite nice. White ones are the worst.

I've always liked them.

But I own a 2005 6 series, previously owned an X6 and really don't mind that Citroen Cactus thing. So it might just be my weird taste.

It's a lot of executive car for £38k in the used market - if that's the bag you're into. Put a dateless plate on it and everyone at the golf club will think you're just splashed £100k on a brand new Porsche.

Sure its a amazing car but the proportions just dont work, porsche need to realise that you cant just lob a 911 front and rear end on anything and hope for the best, 911 really only works as we are so used to it, an extra pair of doors does it no favours.

As the previous poster said, in the right spec it doesnt look so bad, but its a bit like saying the frumpy girl from the office doesnt look so bad when all dolled up and you have had 5 pints, not being sexist there, appreciate that works both ways !

They constrain themselves with the 'on-brand' front end look. Cracking car though. Far nicer in the flesh and from behind smile

Think they look great now thundering along the motorway yelling "GET OUT OF MY WAY" to anyone who is infront.

I think the later ones look great. Similar to the Cayenne (mk1 was horrid).
