Was this about removing the mid box but leaving the resonators in, not fitting a cross pipe, and having cutouts as well? If so, it was on Facebook

That little centre exhaust box does so so much to ruin the sound of the vxr8.
I had back box cut outs fitted, but with them open it was boomy and still no crackles and clear pops...
So, I've just deleted the centre silencer, left the small cherry bombs in, and not connected the two with an H pipe. (Mechanic ran out of time frown emoticon )
With the back boxes working, its low, growly and smooth, with a snarl at higher rpm. The mrs drove it home and didn't really notice, but she does drive everywhere at 1200rpm....
With the back boxes bypassed... omg its like satan has opened his doors to the underworld! Snarls lead to rasps lead to cracks, pops, bangs and the most delicious noise I've ever heard.
A neighbour said he went to the bike show today and beimg honest, said my car sounded better than any bike.he has heard today. Even the garage mechanic who's got a very large chevy dragster said it was nascar esq and couldn't stop grinning when it was revved.
So to conclude, switchable back boxes and deleting the centre box = mucho happiness. And it cost nowt in comparison to a proper system.
