Can a separate forum be set up for the increasing number of sticky threads now blighting various forums. GG now has 10 (!) stickies.

If people want to look at them, they can seek out the appropriate forum to read them. I doubt the traffic figures would drop.

Every now and again someone from PH management replies saying "yes, it's a problem, we'll look into it" and then does fk all about it, instead trying to milk every last penny of monetisation out of the site at the expense of the user experience.

I guarantee fk all will come of this thread either.

I'm glad others find this annoying and not just me. At the moment general gassing has 8 active threads and 12 sticky/locked/adverts. It has come to something when there are 50% more fillers than readable threads to look at!

I would have thought a smaller number of live topics on the front page means faster turnover of content and more refreshes and trips to pages 2 and 3 to see recent content bumped off page 1. That's more page impressions, more ads shown, more likelihood of clicks and revenue.

Well in my case it means I'm less likely to see something of interest and less likely to visit that section of the site on a regular basis.
