Seems my 2009 V8VR roof control module may have died on me, but to be sure I need to disconnect and see if the Blackpool illuminations I currently have on the dash disappear!

I have access to the module via the boot and have disconnected the nearest connector with relative ease (that made no difference the errors so I guess that's module input!) The second connector is however not playing and I'm concerned it maybe clipped in somehow (the first is just a keyed push in). Brute force would certainly end in tears and hand full of bare wires! I can only get one hand in and recon I might need 17 fingers to unclip it!

Has anyone disconnected this module before and can remember how? I could remove the whole unit from inside the wheel arch but to prove the diagnosis would be much simpler and easier with a disconnect.

Battery fully charged but a possibility of course. I have multiple unconnected error messages - SRS air bags, ABS, Brake failure and dials that work then don't work etc.

Sunny day too frown

Bit the bullet jacked it up and removed the inner wheel arch liner to get access to the module. Good job I didn't pull harder! Second connector clips in and it was not possible to unclip it even from within the wheel arch! Had to remove the module from it's mounting plate, bring it back into the boot and then disconnect it! Waiting half an hour now before I fire it up to see if the faults have gone....or not!

OK, Module disconnected and left for an hour, no faults on the display except an engine light and a warning triangle in each display.

Reconnected module, same deal, no roof operation but all dials OK no SRS airbag warnings or Brake Failure Warnings.

Expected the faults to return when I plugged it back in but now guessing the module needs to be dealer enabled again for the car to see it at all, but as it looks like it was causing the fault then it will obviously be a new one that gets enabled!

Would appreciate any thoughts?
