Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 diesel 2007/2008 mk IV

I have really strange problem with the indicators and hazards.

If turning indicator for left OR right, both internal lights flash, as though hazards were on, but external indicator lights do nothing.

If you push the hazard switch, same thing happens.

Logic and much googling points me towards the fuse or relays for the indicators/hazard, but keep being pointed at a second internal fuse/relay box located under the dash near the drivers feet.

Having stripped most of the dash there is none.

Other sources have said that the UK spec only has one fuse box under the bonnet, however there is no relay in there. There is a fuse for hazard (which is OK).

All bulbs are OK. Does anyone know where the relays for the indicators/hazards are located or suggestion of what the problem may be?

My local garage had it for 2 days but gave up as they couldn't get hold of a wiring diagram for that model.

The local "jeep" garage is having problems finding the info!! Stumped!!

Many thanks in anticipation

If yours is RHD remember that when it was designed the driver was on the other side.

Yup, considered that thanks, took the dash off on both sides.

Definitely no fuse box behind the dash on either side (or the middle!!)

Ah well just a thought, often tow kits are a bit poorly installed and can cause all sort of issues with indicators.

Thanks. The strange think is that they flash, and if I feed power down one of the indicator leads from the bulb they start working (except of course for the side with the bulb removed which flash faster as normal when a bulb goes, so makes me think it is a problem with power to the flasher relays (ie fuse or loose) or the relay itself, if only someone could find it!

We didn't solve the problem origin. It seemed like the bulb on the side of the wing was causing some sort of extra load/impedance that caused it. Tried replacing the bulb (which wad working ok) but if you took the bulb out the problem went away (but that was going to be an MOT failure) so I rigged up 3 12v LEDs to replace the original holder and ran them in parallel from the from bulb. It worked and passed the MOT. The cause of the fault will always be a mystery
