Documentary about Stintson Hunter, not a type of person I'd normally be drawn to, a chav with neck tattoos, but the documentary is very good and 18 convictions for child abusers in 2 years isn't to be sniffed at...

Now seems largely neutered by the system.
Anyone seen it and any thoughts on this documentary and this guy only, as he seemed very calm and measured and was very careful to not resort to any strong arm behaviour.

In light of chronically under funded and under staffed child abuse units in the Police, hero or villain?
Hero to me frankly....

For me, In striving to protect children and expose the nasty, dark corners of the internet Stinson's motives become irrelevant.
But many seem to take pleasure in devaluing this guy and i can't see why at all.

I knew of someone who got caught by this guy, not once, but twice. He went to prison and did it again when he got out , so went back inside.

I read the transcript of the text conversations which were posted online on the website and felt physically sick. Thankfully he has moved away to somewhere unknown, as if I saw him I would probably kick him in the balls.

I have no problem with this type of vigilantism. I just wish the police were more efficient at it, so that the vigilantes weren't needed. Personally I think that police should have more sting operations for crimes. It would make chancers think twice if they thought their "victim" could be an undercover copper.

Agreed.
I watched another documentary about some national anti child abuse organisation which started off in Australia, they are controversial in that they basically take over these online peado sites and forums, so unbeknown to the people on them they are being watched by investigators running to sites.

But they are a few people only and they say that as they take over one site then make arrests, then shut down the sites, there has been another 4 starting up elsewhere, some of the memberships for these peado sites are eye watering, 2.5 million members all talking about and sharing images of child abuse on just one site, and there's hundreds of these sites.........
Sadly they walk among us, everywhere....

Its called 'The children in the pictures' can be found on channel 4 online.
