Anyone on here have my old Red IROC-Z. E503 NBP.
I see the MOT has just run out and its on a SORN now.

Really miss that car. Was all original when i sold it in 2009. Apart from the Nitrous install.

What years did you have it ?. I got it in 2004 i think and sold in 2009.
The main reason for selling it is that in the winter it would try to kill you on every round-about. If hat box shifted down into 2nd as you were going around a turn, thats it, you were facing the other way.

I still have lots of pictures.

not 100% sure (a crap memory and a lack of photos don't really help) - but I think that this is my old one... if so it'll be likely you either bought from

- Basildon area, Essex (if I sold to you)
- Uxbridge (I px'd one of my IROC's to buy a p.o.s. V6 Firebird, one of my more foolish car-buying choices!)

This is quite spooky, I was thinking about this car only the other day, and how much I miss it.

I bought it on 10/05/08 from a chap in Cardiff. I got the train from Brighton with just over £2000 in an envelope stuffed in my coat pocket, and the seller collected me from the station and I drove it home. Was that you OP?

I part exchanged it for a mint 1992 Z28 5.7 TPI (last year of the 3rd gen) in September 2009, from a garage in Leigh-on Sea, and always sort of regretted it. The Z28 was a lovely car but it was a bit too nice to properly enjoy. I have very fond memories of NBP and it stands out as one my favourites, mainly because I was only 23 at the time and it was awesome car to own. It wasn't fast, it didn't handle but it was great fun and sounded amazing. I removed the NOS kit and sorted out a few niggles on it, and despite not being the tidiest it was totally reliable. I took it to France twice and it was very at home on the big straight roads there.

Only negative memory was very nearly losing control on a wet roundabout on the A27 one night and only averting disaster by sheer dumb luck!

I still have the 'fake' metal USA style number plates hanging up in my garage. I put UK legal ones on it.

I wonder where it is now?
