Watch identity - help? Possible Unimatic

Could the Pistonheads ghive mind help me.

I have been really taken with the design of this watch but I can’t for the life of me identify what it is.

I am getting Unimatic designs vibes but the letter ‘E’ on the top of the face (zoom in) throws me off. Plus, I can’t find a Unimatic white dial with black 5 minute markers.

The case material is also rather unique.

Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

The case material looks like "forged carbon".

That doesn't look like the most refined version of that material, but might help your search.

Maybe an extra clue for you: "Google lens" search for the original image brings back 'Hodinkee Unimatic'.

Makes sense as I found the image was the wrist of Ben Clymer of Hodinkee fame. It's all coming together.

I have a sneaky feeling this may be a commission piece!!

Yep, a Unimatic. Just saw this thread or I could have answered.. I went down that rabbit hole last year as I nearly bought one for my brother's 40th. Lovely watches.. IMHO similar to CWC as a solid everyday watch.
