Hi

Just wondering what is the largest playable pool table that I can get in our room? We have a pretty much unused extension room which at its narrowest is 290 cm deep, width isn't an issue as it spans the whole width of the house.

I have seen some of the calculators and they are suggesting figures/ room dimensions that seem huge!

So really looking for real world examples, we're looking for a decent type of table rather than one that is like a green topped paste table!

This is for a 7ft table.

Table is 210cm and the cushions are 13cm all round, therefore the payable length is approx 184cm.

However, if you are using full sized cues all a round these are 150cm which you will need add twice, plus a min 5cm for cueing action, although you could lose a bit by angling up the cue to play a cushion
shot.

.

So, 184 + 150 + 150 + 5 + 5 = 494cm..

You can reduce that by purchasing a short cue and buying a 6ft or shorter.

Edit. 184cm

Total Width is 120, so the playable area is 94cm. Your 290 wide room would allow for 196/2 = 98cm all around. Short kids cues are 90cm, which would avoid tight angles on full sized cues.

Thanks for that, I guess I'll have to have a hunt around and see what I can find!
