Mini heater motor

Hi everyone
Wonder if you can help. I have a 2010 Mini Cooper s, N18 engine. My heater blower motor has packed up. Spoke to Dick Lovetts and they say you can access it via the passenger footwell, they have it logged as a 3 hour job. A few other people have said dash needs to come off?
Anyone know a good indie mini dealer/mechanic in Bath/Bristol area?
