First of all don't shoot me smile

I have bought my first TVR a 450 from 1997. Living in Denmark there is not a lot TVR knowledge around.

I wanna change all of the fluids in the car, and got my hands on some Castrol edge supercar(silly name) 10W60 motor oli.

And now i have doubts about using it, is it to thin? and should I just stick with like a 0W40 oli?

Based on what I read at the time, I went with Valvoline VR1 Racing 20w-50

0/40 is thinner than 10/60.
In all reality the castrol will probably be fine but personally I'd just put a good quality 10/40 semi synthetic in it.
You will get a million different answers but i read a well known Tvr engine builder only warrants their rebuilt engines if a 10/40 semi is used which tells you something.

Valvoline VR1 racing 20w 50 as has been said, don't use thinner oils. I had that from the mouth of a guy I know who worked on development of the 4.6 at Land Rover.

I also use VR1 20W50 on the basis that the previous owner recommended it, and he had the engine rebuilt.

I have no comparison though.
