Certain parts of my car are 50 years old this year and I am really proud of it. The bits I know of, are Chassis, bonnet, doors, tub, rear wings, dashboard clocks engine and gearbox. I love my TR6

Birthday wishes to your TR!

I wish I had looked that pristine when I was 50.

This is a picture from a couple of years ago but it still the same. I use it all year round but never if there is any chance of rain

Thanks Blue. It’s a special moment to me every time I drive it, cannot imagine my life without it

It looked very different in 2012 before its restoration which was carried out by a talented engineer in his garage over four years.

Fantastic.
40+ years ago a neighbour had an identical one - although not so immaculate - that was his only car.
It made a big impression on an 8 or 9 year old.

This was the most lusted after car of my youth. I'm not surprised you love it, it's gorgeous. And glad you get to enjoy it regularly. The colour coordinated HT leads made me smile

Well done, that looks great. I’ve always liked these but never got round to buying one. The only Triumph I ever owned was a GT6 amongst a load of Fast Ford and Lotus stuff. Still not too late though!

personally I look lately (online for now) at the models before the TR6, I find those more 'classic' by looks, but then those with all round undependable? suspension like say the TR4 IRS and TR250/TR5? also like some GT6, no idea if all of those have such suspension, not looked in that yet, mk1, mk2, mk3 of those.

ow, and the very lovely Triumph Italia GT, such lovely lines ala some old small Ferrari model.

Scary think is, when I was younger a 50 yr old car looked ancient….from a very long time ago.

I cannot comprehend how a TR6 can be this old already.

Mad.
