Well... the car itself looks nice but I personally don't think I'm too keen on the wheels. In my opinion the Lotus wheels look far nicer on the Esprit. Then again, performance and weight reduction both come before visual appearance for me, so what do I know.

I wish one day I could get enough saved for a set of OZ Futura's although I am fond of my chrome OZ Ruote wheels too. The closest I ever got to a set of Futura's were on an S4s to bad the rest of the car was a piece of cr*p. Still on my wish list but I suppose the 2 more garage bays is still first on the list. I am out of garage space .

Nice. Where did you get the steering wheel from?

Like the seats too. Do you have the MY2002 front lip spoiler? Certainly looks that way...

the steering wheel is a momo millenium and the seats are sparco milano (leather). i am in the USA so i had to purchase the hub and spline from lotus to get rid of the GM steering wheel.

and yes, that's a 2002 front spoiler (my car is '99) which i got from SJ sportscars.

I tried Sparco (and others) to get an aftermarket seat for my S4s. They all said none would fit because of the narrow width of the seat and because of their seatback adjustment being too low down. Could you please give me more details like any alterations necessary, price, contact names and numbers. Thanks.

Anthony - i think the car looks great. What size/spec are those wheels? Is the car lowered at all, or is the suspension stock?

the rims are 8 x 18 F and 10.5 x 19 R Leon Hardiritt Lanze with Pirelli Pzero Rosso 245/35 F and 295/30 R. the rear is lowered by around 1" using fully adjustable suspension from SJ Sportscars; I am getting the adjustable front suspension this week.

as for the seats, they do fit but with some compromise in adjustments. if you are tall and would like adjust the seat i do not recommend it (i am 5'7" and the seat is all the way back).

it is true that the seatback adjustment is low and very hard to adjust but still possible (i was thinking "how often do i adjust my seat once it set? almost never"). the seats do fit however. i used the original sliders and fabricated a flatbar across to mount the chairs.

Hi Anthony,

It it's Dindo! That was your car? For some reason, some guy came to me and said that it was his and his badge name did not match up to yours. Funny how some people want to take credit that it was there's when it was all along yours. Heh heh. Anthony, my car was the white one with the 19x10 and 18x8 in the front of the show. For the Sparco reply, the Roadster 951 fit perfect in our car. It is a fixed back design.

Too Bad I did not meet you Anthony, was that you driving the car when I was in the front of the show? If so, cheers my friend!

it would have been ceratinly nice to meet you, but i guess some other time. and yes! that was me driving the car.

i saw your esprit (recognized the plates) and it certainly looks nice and clean...especially that sparco billet hub. i would have preferred to go with that if i hadn't purchased my lotus hub prior to your email. it really looks great!

btw, did you put together that supra in the TOYO display with 650rwhp (it said RYTEK)? how do you put that much power down on 275 width rubber? and how about reliability (just wondering)?

anyway, keep in touch and hopefully someday will meet !

Hi Anthony,

The supra you saw was a friend of mine that lives in Washington. When I first met him, he saw my Gold 2000 Tranzam and it had 540hp with a Vortech supercharger and built to the tilt block by Morgan Motorsports. He proceeded to build his engine cuz I dusted him in a match. He got 650 hitting the rear wheels. This was measured and calibrated at AEM on a dyno. Pretty incredible for a straight six. The next year, I built a 500hp 385 ls-1 MMS block for my red Transam and added a 300hp shot from Nitrous Express, well, we haven't raced yet so I don't know if his is faster. I don't think so, heh heh. With a billet crank and titanium valvetrain and rods, this motor is a monster.

For my lotus, I am still debating if I should do the same as my race cars. I got the Esprit so that I would not modify anything. Well, the itch is starting. But my wife is arriving on wednesday from the Phil. Oh well. I hope she likes cars!

I thought that was you driving. The guy I met last name was Lim. Funny how he said it was his car and I knew it was from someone that would have known me. Cheers my friend and I hope to see you soon in the bay area. Is the Autoplus up north the same affiliate as the one on Edsa?

Hello Dindo,

Tony Lim is one of the guys that works for Autoplus that was in the show. And yes, Autoplus on EDSA and here in SF are affiliated (how funny you know this stuff; it's just nice to see someone from here knowing this).

I am itching to touch and tune my car (engine wise) but I am not really the best at this so I am weighing possibilities and options (considering risks involved)plus funds. Let me know if you come up with anything and start work on your Esprit. Maybe you can share some tips and advice =)

I wish you well with your wife's coming... I bet she'll understand the passion for cars.
