Was eying up a Cayenne for the missus on Wednesday at Porsche Reading when a new 997 Turbo drove in sporting the famous no 911hul. Obviously the Porsche UK demo car in yellow....looked the business.
Am I the first to spot one in the UK ????

Don't think the HUL bit means anything.

Saw it this morning in Amersham - does look great but I too have also wondered what HUL stands for.
Any thoughts anyone

I believe that 'HUL' has no real meaning - it just happened to be a plate available at the time that porsche GB first wanted to put a private plate on one of its demo cars. The legend has grown because they kept it and have put it on successive press cars over the years. While usually reserved to the Turbo it has also been seen on a few other models from time to time....

....over to someone more knowledgable than me for full details

Oh, and i saw a Merc S500 with the plate 'THE 911 S' a few years back which i thought was a but wierd. My favourite plate tho is '911 GT' on a well known Scottish 993 GT2
