Oil all over my boot rather than on the drive...
Discussion
I'd guess you'd need to get rid of deep oil puddles by bailing the oil out and then using sand to soak it up. Then scrape up all sand and remove the carpet to assess whether it should be kept or chucked (my guess is get a new one, Southbound should be able to do them separately). Then use a serious degreaser to get rid of the rest of the oil on the metalwork, metal items in the boot etc. and refit new carpet.
On the plus side, the boot shouldn't go rusty now!

Don't use sand, you'll never be rid of it.
Because it's salty, it'll possibly cause rot in the long run. You can get stuff like kitty litter, specifically designed for mopping up oil. It's very dry, and expands, unlike sand or wood shavings.
Once you've got rid of the slops, and then the film, I'd recommend using jizer and water.
