HAd my alignment done today at a Porsche specialist called Roland Heidl in Duesseldorf, Germany. Car feels soooo much more stable now at speed and only cost 150 euros (100 quid) inc VAT which is nearly half the cost I pay in the UK. Whilst I was there I saw a very special Boxster. I spoke with the owner of the garage (Roland Heidle believe it or not) and he explained that it used the 3.6L 996 motor bored out to 3.9L. He also made a bespoke crankshaft for the engine! It has the front of a 997 and will appear in a German auto mag called Autobild. Apparently, this magazine test cars around a circuit near Wolfsburg (can't remember the name) and it came out at about half a second slower that a 997 GT3 - not too shabby I think.

Anyway, was a privilege to have him road test my car personally after the alignment was done
