The static events hold little attraction for me. Brands was great! When they go back to a circuit I'll go again. I fully accept, though, that the Stately Home thing appeals more to another section of the club and that the style of event should alternate so everyone is catered to.

In fact - I'm going to Brands to watch the GTs/F3s...

If the weather is good then events like Eynsham can be great.

It's more intimate than a circuit, the displays are usually more impressive and you meet and chat with lots of people. Plus, I think the Coys auction will create a lot of interest.

We were conscious that the event potentially lacked visitor appeal and so have sponsored the fairground this year. Unlimited dodgem cars all day free. You can`t beat that for value. Not only that but kiddy rides and a Jolly Tube as well !! There is even a "ride" where you can knock seven shades of shit out of a mate as well as a rock climbing wall where you get to wear a harness that pushes your knackers right up to your tonsils, (unless of course you are a bloke-ette in which case you`ll be fine.

It isn`t Brands and more`s the pitty but Eynesham Hall it is. We`ll have the race car there and can at least pretend it Brands by starting it up and revving the engine !

Any old customers and friends of 911virgin are more than welcome to pop in for a coffee or a can of pop !

Yes - I'll be there both days. The car will be on the 964 Register Display.

BBC says weather for Saturday will be "cloudy" - hopefully that means no rain. We live in hopes.

I'll be there too. The car will be on the 944 Register stand and I'll be under the gazebo.

(I'm really hoping my 3.2T will make its first showing but I'm not holding my breath)

What gazebo is that then Paul??? AFAIK there are NO gazebos in the Register Parking area this year. There is only a centralised Register/Region meeting place away from the Register Parking.

How much sense does that make???

Dave

not trying to be morbid at all (i was a big burns fan, no 'dick burns' gags please gang) but wasnt his gt3 the car he was driving when he blacked out for the first time cos of his illness and marco martin had to grab the wheel?
