Just bought a BMW 540i to use instead of my TVR through the winter.

Superb car - the first BMW I've driven and it was great

Are there any GOOD independent BMW specialist who can service / troube shoot, etc, her while she's in my stable.??

As it happens my car is in B&R Motors this very morning, not because it's decided to shed parts again, but because it's MOT time.

Out of all the garages in the area they came with the most recommendations and their rates are about a 3rd of the main dealer. Bear in mind though that there is usually a 3 day wait to get your car in there as they're quite busy.

I just spoke to them and it failed it's MOT.

Nothing major, just a brake cable being loose and one of the indicators being white instead of orange (even though I havn't changed any bulbs since it passed its last MOT). Should be picking it up in the morning.
