Since I purchased my Mk2 GT3 I have noticed a very prominant diff winding noise at slow speeds (below 20 mph) when turning left and right. Over 20mph it can't be heard and when driving in a straight line its silent. Is this normal as my OPC have given me the famous "they all do that sir"?

Mine used to do that most when reversing with quite a bit lock on,and pulling away slowly with lock on as well in a straight line silent. My mates gt2 also did the same so the OPc probably are telling the truth.

Thanks for that, sounds the same as mine which is reassuring. Love the car to bits, but these little things can play on the mind a little.

Yep, they should all do it – in fact I was told when it stops making the noise you know your diff is knackered!

You'll just have to drive faster all the time

Very true, though its off to the bodyshop for a scratch repair next week for 3 days. I have had the car 5 weeks, and already I have a 3" scratch in the drivers door from some eejit somewhere rubbing against it! Gutted about that, nearly tears and thumb sucking moment, but fought it off.

Had mine a couple of months and was worried about the noise as well. Spoke to Paragon and they said that was normal and the slight clunk/judder felt when going slowly in reverse. Mine has also had set up changed to be slightly more track friendly and the front wheels rub on nearly full lock.

Out of interest, does anyone else find that little bits of trim seem to get wiggled loose due to the hard ride? In particular my passenger door panel has a tendancy to pop one of the plastic plugs. Solved it by jamming a bit of old credit card under it.

Yes!

I need to tighten my dashboard as its rattling on the drivers side when cold. If I push my finger on it, near the light switch it stops. Screwdriver time and I also noticed a terrible and annoying rattle coming from the glovebox....

....which was solved as soon as I clicked the press studd on the leather user manuals case.....DOH!
