Drove up North this weekend, filled up with Shell V power for the trip. I did 350 miles before filling up and still had an 8th of tank left (red light wasn't even on). That was 200 miles motorway driving and 150 miles where I had to take 3 people out (seperately)for a spin . I am happy with that . How many miles do other people get to the tank ? I know 200 miles was motorway but it wasnt 56 mph !!! The 150 was very spirited driving too.

Yep, was showing Ballcock the computer on Saturday and how I have it so it ONLY shows the temperature, anything else I don't want to know.

More economical than my s2000, I put 40 quid in that to get 240 miles and the Porsche I put 50 quid in to get 350 miles.

surely there is somthing not right there rob, if I go for an economy run I can get around 33mpg out of mine.

around town about 24-26 (depending on traffic, other road users wanting to be destroyed etc) and if im on a hoon for say 30 mins I get about 19mpg.

C4 tip and fuel economy aren't words that you normally associate.

Reckon I just drive mine harder than you

I apply exactly that principle with my bank account......especially after mamouth sessions. Did that round envy got REALLY cost £107?

My wife uses the 996 to travel to and from work which is a 44 mile round trip, and if anyone knows what the M56 is like in the mornings its "stop/start stop/start" most of the way, then on weekends and evenings I get to drive it and i dont drive slowly anywhere and we average 28mpg, which I consider to be very good for the vehicle it is.

Yep, haven't dared to log into mine....

Next time we'll pick somewhere that does cash-back, save a 20 minute walk to find a cash point. Oh yeah, we did!!!

C4 manual and its low to mid 20s around town, but around 30 on a long journey.

Cornwall a couple of weeks ago was 90+ for 4 hours to get there and the range to empty showed as 338 when I eventually filled it up again.

On day to day trips in to work and out again - i average 29mpg. On a long journey, on clear roads, I can easily get 36mpg. At 2:00 in the morning, driving back from Chamonix, 12- 13mpg. Ouch.

Jaysus, how do you guys do it? I only averaged 25MPG from a 2.5 Boxster as recorded by the OBC.

Lucky I guess - (I would like to say, combined with good driving technique, but that would be a lie) - mate of mine has exactly the same car and gets 25-30mpg. Started to wonder how lean the engine could be burning - but given the fuel economy, putting off finding out until the realisation that I am probably doing more harm than good REALLY kicks in!
