Im currently looking for jobs and i was just asking for some advice about where to apply.

im currently looking jobs or graduate schemes in and around the midlands area, i was hoping if anyone could recommend any good automotive engineering companys or motorsport based companys around the area.

Or if anyone one on here is looking to take anyone on over the next year

The Autosport website has a vacancies section, all the F1 and big teams have websites with the same.

Spend an hour trawling the web, its surprising what turns up.

There are lots of companies in the southern midlands.

Just send your cv into the places that you like (regardless of a job being advertised or not. As you never know, some places might keep cv's on file, ready for the next opportunity)

My thoughts exactly- there is a lot of stuff here in the midlands, from the circuits themselves (Mallory, Silverstone etc) to race teams (Barwell, Jordan or whatever it is these days, etc) to places like MIRA and Bruntingthorpe. And dont forget the manufacturers: jaguar in Birmingham, Noble, Aston Martin. The list is hige. The more you look, the more you'll find.

One other piece of advice: consider relocating to the job. I'm assuming its your first job after Uni. Dont rule out somewher ein another part of the country.

Our advice to people like yourself is to send your CV to everyone you can think of. An Autosport directory is a good place to start.

Never been in this situation, if your still looking come January, a visit to Autosport International at the NEC wouldn't go a miss either
