That's right folks, the Champ Car World Series round at Surfers Paradise is on this weekend!

Drove past the circuit just today, which appear almost ready for action. Police were out already; mostly for traffic control duties, but when the race weekend officially commences on Thursday, they'll be out in heaviest numbers yet deployed. Terrorism is being taken seriously here.
I felt a bit sorry for the residents in the neighbourhood though. The noise is incredible when the cars are running on circuit.
