I heard last night that Williams will be announcing a "major" sponsorship deal with AT&T for 2007.

AT&T formerly had a relatively minor deal with the Woking chaps and chapettes, however the Vodafone title deal, that they have from next year onwards, was seen as conflict of interest.

Good news for Frank et al. I wish them well.

Williams seem to switch sponsors with alarming regularity these days.

But on the other hand, at least they seem able to find new ones!

Interesting take on it. Did you consider that it might be the sponsors that are switching?

So that's Williams, McLaren, Honda and Renault, all with new title sponsors for next year. Looking forward to the unveiling of the 2007 cars!

There is - apparently - a whole host of global brands keen to get in on F1 but will not do so for as long as the fag money is there.

that excuse is commonly trotted out by any company that does not want to sponsor f1 - period. its just a polite way of saying no.

i can't see many new sponsors coming in, even with out tobacco money, it'll just be the old ones rehashed.
