New GT2 owner...!!
Discussion
It was a big stretch (had to dip into the kid's school fund) but I've just bought a stunning 996 GT2 from 911virgin.com. I know I shouldn't have but its the car I've always wanted.
I've heard these cars are bullet proof - sure hope so cause I'm skint after buying it.
Henry (he's the guy who sold it to me) mentioned the car was unique as it had a racing history - so, does anyone know anything more about this car..??
Sorry... couldn't resist..!!

I recon you don't want to know what the "unique racing history" is all about...
"Apart from a big front ender (me not driving) (how do i post photos?) it's done 6 Gumball events (gumball, players run, cannonball) so how could the mileage be 20k?? + it's had 3 years of daily driving too....and precious little servicing. (sorry lads, fix it when it breaks mentality). "

I'm sorry, I thought this site was Pistonheads, for serious enthusiasts of petrol fumes.
The way some people have been wittering on this and other threads it reads like Frimpton-on-Sea's Ladies Knitting Circle tut-tutting.
Have any of you ever done any driver training where if you don't see a spin or two you haven't learnt??
Most posts after Le Mans brag about the speeds reached.... and how many of us take it to (not over) the redline before a change up?? I remember reading recently someone actually went into print on here about loving the noise of the rev limiter fer Keyrist sake!
I think you may also find that a Porsche is just about the best make ever built for this kind of action and this particular car proves it.
So perleeeese. Talk about pot and kettle.... Either get back to your knitting or stop preaching
