996 Oil Pressure (again)

Hi Guys

I know this has been done to death on here BUT my 996 has finally got the dreaded oil pressure problem......

Drove down from Newcastle to Slough yesterday (300 miles) at legalish speeds and decided to stop quickly in Windsor (parked on double yellows!!!) and when I got back to the car it wouldnt start (oil pressure about 0.5 bar and loads of tourists watching). I left it about 10 minutes and it started but I had to give it loads of revs at the traffic lights to keep the oil pressure up (didn't I look silly!!!!).

This morning I managed to get to work (15 minutes away) and already my oil pressure is down to 1.0 bar.

Is there anything obvious I can check before going back to the (non-OPC) dealers and kicking off as I have only had it 3 months!!!!!

I'd stop using it and have it checked out. With oil pressure like that I imagine you could have serious problems if you keep driving. I wouldnt even drive it to the garage I'd have t towed.
