...this is a bit of a non-technical question but does anyone on here know where to find fairly realistic Porsche (toy or better collector) models and similar, especially of the older models (no pun intended)?

Ideally something proper in metal, with moving bits and pieces, or any other material that looks nice

Many thanks!!

Minichamps are excellent at 1:43 scale. Check out their website for what model's have been produced and search ebay for you ones you want, there are literally '000's for sale.

Auto Art are pretty good too, they do 1:18 Scale ones!

Think they may be the same as what is sold in the OPC's...

My other half ordered me a couple of 1:18 AutoArt Porsche models for my birthday (which was 18th Oct). The order went in at the beginning of October... they still haven't delivered

No name and shame but if you're buying over the net, phone them up to ensure they're still in stock. I WANT MY BIRTHDAY CARS!!!!! cry

Minichamps, Autoart and many others Look on Ebay put in Porsche 1:18 or 1:43 and see what you get, minchamps are mostly 1:43 but also do some models in 1.18 and they are excellent. If you have a track Fly do awesome models that look great and run on standard scalextric

I have a 1:18 Autoart 993 turbo in black. Only ever saw one so I bought it about a year ago!

I get my cars from

www.collectablediecast.com/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=1/18&Page=2

If you buy enough, they give great discounts (but you have to be pushy!)

Auto Art are the best quality models.

Aldi are doing some nice models this week (I nearly bought one for the neighbours kid - but I'm dead tight), there's a boxter and some other sports cars like jaguar etc. Might be worth a look, but you'll have to save up - they're £1.50 each.
