I know this is a bit early to organise an event but I am intending to be at the Norwich Beer Festival (again) this year. Any other PH member going, want to go ...

I will probably be in the Maids Head for Thurs/Fri [edit] 30th/31st October [/edit] night and poss Saturday. Anyone else up for this ?

...and dry out at the TVRCC Bucks meeting in between.

Sadly, it looks like Angus may not be joining us.

..very likely Bob! Norwich is a fine city, and plenty to do when you're not drinking. Anyone who wants to go, could meet round my place? (I live near Stansted, eg good access to the A11). I'd probably have to go by car, so Mrs Biker could drive me home!!!
Sounds like a top idea to me.

Oi, Denny.. you going?

Bump

Just wondering if there are any takers - otherwise I will go on my own. Always seem to meet someone I know.

As Norwich is about 25 miles from me, I'm sure I'll be able to pop down. What does this beer festival involve though? Never actually been to it.

Not a bad assessment given the title. Its held in StAndrews Hall - a deconsecrated church. You buy a glass and some tokens on entry, find a beverage you fancy, hand over some tokens in exchange for a pint or half, consume beer, lager, cider, other beverage. Contiue ad nauseum or until you fall over or they chuck you out - visit the pleasures of Norwich - go back to the festival - return to the hotel - find something else to do.

Its an excuse to try somewhere different to where you usually drink - Ok this will be the 8th year I have been so its not really that different but a change is as good as a rest.
