Where to learn to drive a GT2
Discussion
Hello to all
Where is there that allows you as a member of the public to drive a GT2 to is capacity...
Or just to see what happens when you give it a boot full of throttle where you are not going to hit anything..
Any courses ?
I would love to learn and be show how to drive 1 properly (So would a few of my customers for that matter......

The choice is yours. I'm trying John Lyon next.
That's a great question and one I was pondering on last night having taken the car out for a bit of a blast.
Having read so many times that I'm going to die if I go too mad, I'd like someone who knows what they're doing to take me round a track in it.
I will do a track day, but will inevitably end up visiting www.driveaGT2toitslimitsanddieinth

I spent half a day with Malcolm Hamilton at www.carcontrol.co.uk - I believe he runs the school at Oulton Park. He'll do everything from teaching skid control in a specialist vehicle to race lessons and anything in between. It may be worth giving him a call and talking through what you want to achieve. I learned a lot in just half a day and will be using him again in the near future on my way to getting my race licence.
Don't know where you live, but if it's just a place for you to test a car (& your skills) then Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire allow people to take their cars, pay a £50ish fee and drive on the track for an hour, which has a 2mile straight and plenty of twisty sections. A mate of mine hired a 360 for a long weekend and he took it there.
Dare say there are other tracks or old airfields that offer similar.
Just be careful of stone chips if there are any other cars there !!
