Does anyone know anything about the silver one they have at 911 sport at the moment?

What differences will I notice between my 996 turbo (non-X50) and this?

Credit to 911 sport for describing the car correctly...it is a 993TT with the X50 upgrade of larger turbos, ecu and oil cooler....it is not a TurboS car as you title your post.

try it if they will let you, different driving experience to 996TT....you will probably notice more differences between the 2 cars than the 30 bhp between them

I've driven this car. They had it in when I took my GT2(which I bought from them) back for a tyre change. It's a much more involving drive than the 996, slightly quicker on paper, but feels faster at the wheel. Only about a second slower to 100 than the 996 GT2, which means it's ballistic. That particular example is worth going to see, it's mint.

I have one of these, except the OEM 450 kit was fitted 6 weeks ago so all the parts are brand new. It drives superbly.

A couple of weeks ago I was approaching a 2-lane slip road onto the A3 that was going slightly uphill. I was taking it easy when I looked into my drivers mirror when I saw what looked like a Cayman approaching fast in the outside lane of the slip road. I thought what the hell, gave it some beans and to my suprise the other car was still gaining. Giving it further gas his gaining on me slowed but was still edging up to me, I thought wholly shit those Caymans are bloody fast or something is wrong with my car but it felt great. At this point the other car went by at about 5-7mph......I glanced over and saw it was a 997tt yikes I then had to slow down quickly because the slip road went from 2 lanes to one lane and a truck was using the single lane. He ended up going by the truck with most of his car on the cross-hatched section with all sorts of stones and rubbish being thrown up by his tyres.

I was amazed that he only passed me at not much more than jogging pace. My window was down and as he went by I could hear the exhaust note - clearly giving it big and sounding pretty nice

So, with the upgrade kit all is well with the 993tt!
