Looks pretty tidy from the pics .... I'd say it's worth a punt.
May be worth call the named dealer/service centre tho.

looks good and is very very cheap, i sold one 6 months ago for £22.5k.
Depends if its a CAT C,if so then leave well alone IMHO, also no service book doesn't help the guy is always going to have an up hill battle to sell even at 13.5k. Its also been on ages.
There was a straight one on the auto trader same colour but with the standard cup wheels a while ago for £16k no offers. I looked at it to sell on just needed a good bloody couple of days elbow grease to give it a shine and a service. (this had FPSH and no recorded damage) missed out on it though.

never any harm in asking. I might however be just as concerned at the "2000 miles in 6 years" as by the damage and lack of log book.

its a risk - with good RHD examples of this car going for 20-25K. maybe if you bought it for 13K and kept the other 10K in reserve then it might be an ok buy?

That; or nuke it from space.

Amethyst - it's a bit poo, really. OK on a gleaming RS, maybe - but probably not great on a shabby(?) 930. As for the other bits - I'd be scared to invest any money in a potential black-hole unless I was 100%. You wouldn't take long to rack up bills that would have seen you better off buying something a little more expensive to start with. Yes/No? I could be talking out of my bum, but whatever about rectifying mechanical bits, if you do have to throw money at this you'll still end up with something that's somewhat lacking in provenance.

Totally agree, 965's lurve soaking up money, this one could have the potential.

Give Steve Bull a ring, he did a PPI on a 964 C2 for me this time last year, totally open and gave me a lot of "ammunition" to negotiate a sizeable reduction in the vendors price.

Of course I know you are both right but tempting to let my heart rule my head. Probably hypothetical as the Missus who rules both (and other bits of my anatomy too) would never agree to another bloody car

errrrrr no.
1 - You dont have time to drive the cars you already have (just being greedy!)
2 - the colour is YUK (isnt the 928 the same horrible colour and did I not see a post recently from you wanting to re-spay it?)
3 - No more room on your drive (multi storey garage?)
4 - I know Sarah WILL divorce you if you get another
5 - no history, cat D, 'lost' service record........ punch

Leave it bruv (besides I'm off to view it this weekend bounce)

You have a point, but it is a nice price and if you got it checked out propperly then it might be a risk worth taking. If its a cat c then dont even bother of course and your right about the Amethyst, its minging! still cheep though.

Yes it doesn't sit right for a turbo, the 3.3 did sit a bit higher than the 3.6 variant
(anorak) but you'll get a touch of vertigo in this laugh

The 2000 miles would worry me i spent best part of £55OO on a top end rebuild.Leaving a car like that standing arround does it no favours.

If it was reasonably straight, i'd snap it up, rip out everything that wasn't legally required and turn it into a track monster. Flog the stuff you take out and look to rebuild the engine with a few choice mods when money suits.

Yep all work is now finished, apart from 5th gear final mapping. Need to wait for weather to improve and then we'll hire a runway and get it done. Details soon to be released, but its quick...
