Sourcing and buying a 964 RS
Discussion
Friend of mine, definitely not me, is thinking about getting a 964 RS. Though that cheap GT3 has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons...
He had a 996, which he loved, but now only does about 200 miles a month, and is looking for a toy to keep in the garage. Reckon occasional use, couple of times a month, wouldn't suit a 996. How would a 964 cope?
I'm, he's, thinking LHD. Not much point or sense paying a RHD premium for occasional use, and continental blasts.
Where is the best place to source one, I see gmund have got one, and GT Classics (whose web-site always crashes my computer). What about sourcing one in Europe, I've found a few for sale, but at very similar prices.
Anything to look out for?
Thanks

GT Classics can help yo ...errr... your friend source cars from Germany. I believe that he links up with H & S Hermanns & Schmitz Automobile GmbH. Perhaps try Paul Stephens as well?
Check out www.mobile.de if you want to try sourcing direct.
I'm sure the wise bearded ones will be along with better advice shortly.

I'd definitely recommend Paul McLean at GT Classics, based entirely on the fact that he resold my old car last May...anyone who has that quality of stock on his books has to be good I'm not so sure about one or two others mentioned, but will respect the name and shame rules...
Another vote for Paul.
If you read Evo magazine you'll know that Richard Meaden bought a 964 RS from Paul last year
As far as I know there aren't that many RS "specialists" in Europe, and Paul McLean is a really nice chap, he's just come back from Germany looking at a car for me. Very genuine and honest chap to deal with. Him and Tom work closely together which makes sourcing and importing from Europe much easier.

You'll find if you, sorry I mean your friend clicks on 'non flash' or 'html' version on the home page of Paul's website does the trick.
Yep, right up until you want to view the images (for my friend anyway)
Presume Paul McLean sources them, as one of the cars is also for sale on mobil.de?
